What I did this weekend...
What? Enjoy a long leisurely three day weekend?

HA!

The spouse and I were supposed to have an adult Saturday evening....he then hurt his back, thought it might be a kidney stone, so it didn't happen.

So, I watched BOTH of my football teams lose.
Spent three HOURS organizing/cleaning Madelyn's room. (That is her New Year's challenge...to learn how to be organized, even a little)
Went to Lowe's for the millionth time, picked out planters for my tulip bulbs since we have no yard.
Unpacked two more boxes out of the garage.
Took down and packed up the Christmas tree/decorations, including putting them in storage.
Rearranged the furniture in the living room.
Hung curtains in the office, master bath, master bedroom, breakfast room, Madelyn's room, Bradley's room, and living room.
Put up a few pictures.
Dusted and vacuumed the entire living area downstairs.
Did every bit of laundry in the house.
Cooked/prepared my lunches and snacks for the week.
Wrote a paper for my Economics class.
Watched FOUR HOURS of the best show on TV "24" (Welcome back, Jack Bauer!)

I am now having a tough time unwinding, even though it's nearly 1:30 am.

How are y'all doing?

Unpacking and settling in has proven to be just what the Emmy ordered. Well, all except for the brown water. Now I have no issues with brown. All of my children have brown eyes. My spouse and the Stretchmeister have brown hair...but the water, my lovelies, should NOT be brown.

But it was, and so a new well was drilled (not on our dime, thanks)to tap into some new cool clear water. Seems the old well was existing and required only a microbe test, which it passed. However, since the well had been inactive, no one knew that the casings inside were cracked and broken, and allowing large amounts of crud to escape into our water system. The junk had settled, so the test samples were clear. Then came our family and the way we use the well...and well... oh well.

So the new well was drilled the week after Christmas. We got 95% of our crap put away, (we can SEE the garage!) and construction on mom in law's downstairs apartment is clipping right along.

It was a beautiful holiday with the kids and the family, we are all so spoiled. New Years Eve found spouse and I with my parents chilling in front of the tube. It was a lovely evening.

Now I am (like many others) back on the weight loss train. I have eaten SO MUCH today I am ready to hurl, and I still have dinner left to go. Have I really been eating so little...or just so much of crappy stuff? Whatever it is I hope this works, because I'm tired of being pudgy me.

More later.
